SIMULATED PATIENT VIEW
Immersive visual counselling Built in India

Help patients see what their eyes can't tell them.

An XR platform that turns the invisible progression of glaucoma, AMD and cataract into a lived experience — so patients value their drops and choose the right lens.

SESSION REPORT
The VR platform

A guided session patients never forget.

The clinician runs everything from a tablet while the patient steps into a first-person simulation of their own condition — calibrated to their eye, their severity, their future.

01
First-person disease simulation
Glaucoma tunnel loss, AMD distortion, cataract clouding — at the patient's own level.
02
Progression timeline
"With drops" vs "without" — patients watch their future vision diverge.
03
IOL simulator
Preview monofocal, multifocal and EDOF outcomes — reading range, night glare and all.
Conditions we simulate

Hard to explain. Impossible to ignore.

01 · GLAUCOMA

The silent thief of sight

Patients feel fine until vision is gone. We show the creeping tunnel — and how daily drops hold it back.

When the centre fades

Faces, words and detail blur and warp. The simulation makes early intervention feel urgent.

See before you choose

Walk through monofocal vs premium lenses — reading, driving, night glare — so the choice is informed.

The patient journey

From diagnosis to decision in one visit.

01

Diagnose

Clinician selects the condition and severity from the tablet, calibrated to this patient.

02

Immerse

Patient puts on the headset and experiences their own vision — today and years ahead.

03

Compare

"With treatment" vs "without" — or one lens vs another — side by side, in the same eyes.

04

Decide

Patient leaves with a session summary and a decision they understand and own.

The evidence

Peer-reviewed, and built by clinicians.

AKSightXR isn't a concept. A commentary on our VR counselling approach was published in the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology — reporting that immersive counselling markedly improved how patients understood their intraocular lens options and eased surgical decision-making.

It's clinically grounded because it's clinician-led: our co-founder is a practising ophthalmologist published in the field.

94%
of patients better understood their IOL options after a VR counselling session.
98.5%
found surgical decision-making easier with immersive counselling.

On the roadmap · Augmented reality

Next: the simulation, in the real world.

We're building an AR version that overlays disease progression and IOL outcomes onto a patient's actual surroundings — their own kitchen, their own street. No virtual world required.
